Cape Engineers and Founders Association

As an employer in the Metal and Engineering industry in the Western Cape, you are invited to become a member of the Cape Engineers and Founders’ Association (CEFA).

With a proud history going back to 1920, CEFA are registered with the Department of Labour as an employers’ organisation and are dedicated to serve the interest of employers in the Western Cape.-

CEFA is federated to the Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa (SEIFSA), which it helped form in 1943 and is regionally based. SEIFSA acts as an agent for the 23 registered employers’ organisations at a national level in the Metal and Engineering industry.

As a company in the Metal and Engineering industry companies are required in terms of the Labour Relations Act to be registered with the Metal and Engineering Industries Bargaining Council (MEIBC). By joining CEFA and becoming a party employer and effectively be given a “voice” as an employer in very complex industry.
